Viral Videos Part 2

“The Fox” got all the views it has from being catchy and hilarious. Who doesn’t like a costume party and a guy dressed as a fox going ” Ringadingdingdingdingeringeding!”. I mean really. Name one thing funnier. When you listen to it, you want to sing along, or listen again, or both. To get that many views everyone doesn’t need to like it, many people just need to like it enough to watch again. I believe that this song is a great example of putting yourself out there and seeing if people like your work. Had any of you heard of Ylvis before “The Fox”? It’s a big risk, but it could get you famous.

Viral Videos Part 1

You know the song by Ylvis called “The Fox”? if you don’t you can find it here. Recently, I’ve been trying to make electronic music (yeah, more on that later). I think that making electronic music and making viral videos are actually pretty similar. Both of them are difficult and people think that they’re easy to do. Not really. Viral videos are difficult to make because it is hard to tell what the Youtubers will like and a great idea can very easily not turn out well. Electronic music is hard to make because you need to combine music, effects, beats, and a dash of general randomness. I’ve tried multiple times with horrible results. Wow. I hope I’ll get better at it. If I make anything useful, I’ll post it for you. Now “The Fox” has 24 million views or more, but how did it get so many? That is for another post.
